Eskom to create thousands of job opportunities in Mpumalanga

Mbombela – Mpumalanga’s MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr. Sikhumbuzo Kholwane welcomed  the initiative by Eskom to create about 10 000 temporally and permanent jobs in the next three years.

Addressing members of the media after a successful meeting with Eskom in Riverside Park Government Complex on Wednesday, 29 November 2017, MEC Kholwane said Eskom has committed to creating ten thousand job opportunities, which will be available in various trade within the energy sector and largely include infrastructure maintenance and development project in Mpumalanga.

“The Provincial government views Public Private Partnerships as an excellent opportunity for government, business and communities to work together in addressing the high rate of poverty, unemployment and inequality in Mpumalanga‘, said MEC Kholwane

As part of its social responsibilities, Eskom has announced that 335 bursaries and 680 learners’ development opportunities are available for young people in Mpumalanga.
